I always wish that I have more time to scrapbook or do my DIY projects or make anything just like all scrapbookers, crafters, bakers out there! I love making things, I really enjoy the process of thinking about what to make next, sourcing all the bits and pieces or ingredients for my projects or baking. I love sticking and gluing things or mixing things. Most of the time the end result is not really what I thought I was going to make but it’s soooo much fun when creating and you just feel a rush of happiness when you are done. And I have a silly habit of waving my ‘artwork’ or ‘baked goods’ in front of my hubby and sister and asking them repeatingly ‘is it pretty?’, ‘is it yummy?’ hahaha… it’s fun seeing the look on their faces when all they really wanted to say is ‘not again..here she goes again”
I started scrapbooking when I was on my career break and preparing for our wedding. Always had an obsession with actual tangibles in my hands (yes i still do write letters and notes) and refusing to give in to technology on everything (I do love my TV and internet), and when I saw these amazingly beautiful scrapbooks of photos at a shop in Singapore I knew then that I didn’t want a digital photobook of ” our love story” at our wedding but instead a handmade scrapbook of our silly photos.
I was a beginner and had no idea what to do but I really really enjoyed putting the album together (which I will upload later :P). Choosing the photos and having a laugh at our silly moments, going back in time to the holidays we had, learning how to use the big shot, discovering how to create layouts was all I could think about the month before our wedding. It was sooooo enjoyable and indulging – reminding me of all the times and memories we had since we met was the best pre-wedding pampering I could have dreamed of. It surrounded me with feeling of love and why I was thrilled and excited to marry the guy in all the photos. *blush blush*
So, this is how I got into scrapbooking and how I got addicted. I buy more than I should, don’t we all?? : p Just irresistible when you see the colours and patterns…
I created this blog to document the process of creating the scrapbooking pages, other DIYs and food I bake which I enjoy so much.
I would love to meet others who enjoy the same thing or share the same addiction. Drop me a line if you have any comments or questions. Would love to chat : )
